OptionTrack — Trading analytics SaaS

The short version

Cash-based options traders were tracking positions in spreadsheets that could not answer the only question that matters: is this working? OptionTrack replaces the spreadsheet with real-time positions, earnings and ROI leaderboards, computed rather than typed.

How we were involved

The parts of this that were ours to solve.

01

The spreadsheet was the specification

Traders had already worked out what they needed to see — they just maintained it by hand, badly, and rebuilt it every time a position rolled. We treated the spreadsheet as the requirements document: every column someone maintained manually became a field the system computes.

02

Positions, earnings and ROI in one place

Entering a trade updates the position, the running earnings and the ROI leaderboard at once. Nothing is entered twice, and the numbers cannot disagree with each other, which is the failure mode every spreadsheet eventually reaches.

03

Built to be understood, not admired

The audience is traders, not analysts. Every screen answers a question a trader actually asks — what am I holding, what did it earn, what is working — and nothing is on screen because it was technically interesting to compute.
