The short version
Agencies that bill by the hour run on a project tool, a chat tool, an invoicing tool and a spreadsheet that reconciles all three. Grangerly is the operational layer that was missing between them — the work and the money in the same system, so billable time cannot go missing on the way to an invoice.

How we were involved
The parts of this that were ours to solve.
The gap was between the tools, not inside them
Every agency we looked at had good tools and a person whose week was spent making them agree. The work lived in one place, the conversation in another, the money in a third, and the reconciliation in a spreadsheet nobody trusted. That gap was the product.

Work and money in the same model
Tasks, boards, messages, invoicing and client billing share one set of records. Time logged against a task is the same object that appears on the invoice, so the question "did we bill for this?" has an answer rather than an investigation.

Built for two languages from the start
The client base spans English and Spanish-speaking markets, so the interface was built bilingual rather than translated afterwards — a decision that is cheap at the start of a build and expensive at the end of one.
